  Cave Hill Farms Bed and Breakfast in McGaheysville, VA was an absolute delight from start to finish. The location couldn’t be better—nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley and conveniently close to several excellent wineries. We also loved that the owners operate a brewery just down the road, which made for an easy and fun dinner visit shortly after we arrived. The B&B itself is warm, welcoming, and full of character. The entire home is full of antiques from the generations of family that lived there. There is even a museum in the basement showcasing other artifacts. Our room (Aunt Emma’s Room) was comfortable with charming touches and information about the woman who stayed in the room and for whom the room is named. Breakfast each morning was a highlight. All the guests gathered around the table like family, enjoying hearty, home-style dishes and great conversation. It created such a friendly atmosphere and made the stay feel truly special. Cave Hill Farms is a wonderful place to relax, explore local flavors, and connect with others. Lisa was a wonderful host, always making sure we had what we needed and telling us about some local places of interest. We left refreshed and will definitely return at some point. Highly recommended!

  B&B has so much potential but needs deep cleaning, painting, repairs, and the poor overgrown garden made me sad! A human to greet guests would add a warm welcoming atmosphere.

  Best bed and breakfast I have ever had the pleasure of staying at! My husband gifted me a night away for my birthday and I am so glad he chose Cave Hill. The house is breathtaking, the innkeeper is personable and the breakfast was delicious. I will be coming back!

  My husband and I visited Cave Hill Farms B&B on our last night of a long road trip. Our timing wasn't perfect and we ended up arriving a little earlier than expected, but the hostess, Jordan was extremely accommodating and welcomed us in, giving us a tour of the home and explaining the history of the home and family that owned it. We stayed in the bridal room and it was decorated beautifully and was very clean - I can say after spending the nine prior nights in hotel rooms, everything was much cleaner than the majority of the hotels we stayed in. We loved the books in the rooms that had information about local restaurants, the stories behind the rooms and information about the hosts, and we used that to make our dinner plans. We played one of the games that were available after dinner and chatted with Jordan, who was kind enough to put our cooler ice packs in the freezer so that our dinner leftovers would make it home fresh the next day. The next day we had a delicious breakfast with the other guests and made some new friends. The timing of breakfast (9am) was perfect for us as we love to not feel rushed in the mornings and neither of us wake up incredibly hungry. We had a wonderful time here and it was one of the highlights of our trip. If we're back in that region overnight in the future we would definitely stay at Cave Hill Farm again, and we'll recommend it to others who are visiting the area.
