Members complete hands-on projects in STEM and agriculture, healthy living, and civic engagement, with activities such as NC State Fair competitions and summer programs. Enrollment is free.
The Livestock Conservancy
Pittsboro, NC
A nonprofit membership organization whose mission is to protect endangered livestock and poultry breeds from extinction. Founded in 1977, it works to conserve over 150 heritage breeds across cattle, goats, horses, sheep, pigs, rabbits, and poultry.
